A Church Partnership That Builds the Future
The Adopt a Cabin Initiative invites churches to adopt a specific cabin at Lake Lavon Camp and help renew it through remodeling, updates, improvements, and thoughtful design. After decades of ministry, our cabins have varying needs — from simple refreshes to major renovations. This program creates a pathway for churches to directly strengthen the heart of camp: the spaces where students live, connect, and grow during retreats and summer experiences.
A Shared Vision, A Shared Plan
When a church adopts a cabin, they will partner directly with the Lake Lavon team. Together, we will:
- Cast a clear vision for the cabin’s purpose and impact
- Assess the cabin’s needs and possibilities
- Form a plan for improvement
- Execute the plan in a way that is safe, sustainable, and aligned with camp’s mission
Whether the project includes new flooring, paint, bunk upgrades, décor, HVAC improvements, bathroom updates, accessibility upgrades, or deeper structural repairs, each cabin adoption will be guided with purpose and unity.
Opportunities to Build New
Some cabins are at a stage where replacement is the best option. For churches seeking a bold and legacy-level partnership, there is also the opportunity to come alongside Lake Lavon Camp in building an entirely new cabin — creating a lasting investment that will impact students for generations to come.
Honoring the Past, Investing in the Future
The Adopt a Cabin Initiative is more than a facilities project. It is a ministry partnership. It is a way to honor the past generations who built and supported this camp — and to invest faithfully in the next generations who will be shaped here.
Together, we can continue the incredible legacy of Lake Lavon Camp — Advancing a Biblical Worldview for 75 years — by strengthening the foundation for the next 75.
If your church is ready to adopt a cabin and help build the future of camp ministry, we would love to talk with you.
